You may know that The Navigators ministry began in the military in 1933, when founder Dawson Trotman began working with sailors aboard the USS West Virginia. And you may know that by the end of World War II there were Navigators on more than 1,000 ships in the U.S. Navy. But did you know that Jim Downing, one of those original Navigators (affectionately known as “Navigator #6”) is still actively involved with the Navigator collegiate ministry—discipling college students—at the age of 100?
