The Navigators
The thrill of an overseas experience is overtaking Dario as he acclimates to life in the Philippines. Difficulties such as small, uncomfortable living conditions pale in comparison to the sensory overload of the culture and its wonderful people. Dario and his team teach English and math to young children on Saturdays and spend time in and among the community all week.
Dario is most impressed by how quickly and genuinely a small cross-cultural community is forming. “Each of us has a community of about six families. We meet with our respective community a few evenings each week. Together we pray, read the Bible, and sing.” These times in community have been some of most rewarding for Dario, and he will continue to stay focused on Christ as he loves and learns about these Filipino families.
